Here is the written statement. Tell me any other idea if this looks unreasonable. I got the ticket of illegal turning right (I didn't see the sign clearly) and also charge of forgoting bringing car registration. I dont want this to go on my driving record either. Please feel free to suggest anything...Thanks alot... Dear Honorable Judge. I'm writing to explain the circumstances regarding a traffic infraction that I received on the 25th of April, 2009. I was on the way returning home to Federal Way from Kent. I went down to Kent to look for apartments for next year's stay as I'm going to attend Highline CC. I went looking at the Washington Park Apartment which is located at 11020 SE Kent Kangley Rd, Kent WA 98030, and as I exited the apartment, I couldn't see the "No right turn" sign clearly. It was unintentional, I did not pay a good attention at the time therefore I failed to notice the sign, I made a right turn and I got caught by the police officer right away. I got charged with $124 fee and the police officer charged me with another infraction as she said: "No valid registration in the car". I apolozied that I did not have the registration, I didn't know I had to bring it with me in the car as I had just bought my car several months ago under my brother's name - Tung Lee. I'm an international student living without my parents, I wasn't informed that I should have my car registration with me at all times. The police officer charged me another 124$ for the lack of car registration. I have the car registration right here (attached document), please consider it. I apologize for my infraction and I'm confident that I won't make a similar mistake in the future.... Read More »
