Resolved Question: Is this look reasonable to you guys? I need to write the traffic ticket written statement to the judge...?

Ok here is the written statement. Dear Honorable Judge. I'm writing to explain the circumstance regarding to a traffic infraction that I received on the 25th of April, 2009. I was on the way returning home to Federal Way from Kent. I went down to Kent to look for apartments for next year stay as I'm going to attend to Highline CC. I went looking at the Washington Park Apartment which locates at 11020 SE Kent Kangley Rd, Kent WA 98030, and as I made a right turn as I existed the apartment, I couldn't see the "Can't turn right" sign clearly because I forgot my glasses at home, my eyes didn't have good sight. Therefore, normally within my assumption of turning right is legal, I made a right turn and I got caught by the police officer right away. I got charged with $124 fee and the police officer charged me another infractions as she said: "No valid registration in the car". I apolozied to not have the registration, I didn't know I got to bring it with me in the car as I just bought my car several months ago under my brother name - Tung Lee. I'm an international student therefore living without my parents, I was lack of knowledge to bring car registration all the time. The police officer charged me another 124$ for the lack of car registration. I have the car registration right here (attach document), therefore please consider it. I apologized for my infraction and I'm confident that I won't make a similar mistake in the future. Any suggestion...This penalty is too high...I dont want it to go in my driving record so please help...I have an appointment with them next week :( If you guys have any more reasonable ideas..please tell me...I have no idea what to write since this is my first ticket. Any ideas that would decrease the charge?? I just mention the glasses cause' I have no better reason...Can't say that the sign is fade cause' it is there.....Anyways...please feel free to suggest me anything that look reasonable...Thanks a bunch...
